Madison's 1!

I can't believe our little girl is already 1! This year has just flown by. It feels like just yesterday we were hoping she would wait at least a few days after her brother's birthday to make her arrival! Of course she did and her birthday was yesterday. She had a pretty good day except for the fact that she had to go to the doctor on her birthday and get 3 shots! Other than that she had a nice day! She weighed in at 18 lbs-7 oz and was 28 inches long. While we think she is getting so big apparently it's not big enough...she is only just above the 10th percentile and the doctor wants to see her back in six weeks to make sure she is consistently gaining weight. I am sure she is fine, I think they just want to watch her a little closer.

Maddie is cruising around on the furniture and every now and then she lets go for a minute before she realizes she is standing on her own and falls down. She will probably be walking soon and then we will lose all control, as if we haven't already! She says Mama and Dada and makes a few other sounds that kind of sound like words. She also has a few signs that she uses pretty frequently like more, all done, and eat! She does a good job telling us what she wants! She is eating all kinds of food and we started introducing whole milk yesterday! Madison still only has 3 little teeth, but we can see #4 on it's way in. That doesn't seem to hold her back though as far as eating is concerned.
