The adventure continues! Off to Verona!

Our time in Italy is growing short and according to me we need to fit in everything we possibly can this year!  That means traveling and sightseeing even when it's freezing and it definitely was on the day we drove to Verona.  We are trying to do as many little driving in one day trips as we can because wheter we go somewhere for a week or a night it seems that a lot of packing and stress is involved!  So Verona is about two hours away and we went for the day to visit Romeo and Juliet!  The day started off really foggy and really COLD!  It ended sunny and still really COLD!  We ran into some friends while we were there which proved to me that we are NOT the only crazy people who travel in the cold!  Chad said that just gave me some justification and that I was still crazy!

We visited the Roman forum (like the Colloseum but much smaller), the Verona duomo, and Juliet's garden.  The kids enjoyed wandering around the forum and getting hot chocolate which is a must when it's this cold out!  The duomo was beautiful and they were singing and playing some really interesting music while we were there.  It was unlike anything I have ever heard inside a traditional church.  It was a beautiful city and we enjoyed the day even though we were freezing!

Touching Juliet is supposed to be good luck

Romeo, Romeo where for art thou Romeo!

A great street view!  This is what I will miss about Italy!  It's just so beautiful walking around the little towns.
