We arrived in London on Friday April 9th and had a great first day in London. We arrived at our hotel just after lunch time and were able to enjoy most of the afternoon out walking the town. We had a great pub lunch that first day and the boys enjoyed their fish and chips! We then just walked from our part of town which was across the river from St. Paul's Cathedral near the London Bridge all the way down to Paliment and Big Ben. It was a great walk and we took in most of the city sights. We took some great pictures of St. Paul's and arrived at Big Ben in time to hear the bell chime. We crossed the river to the London Eye for a spin over the city. I thought the kids would really enjoy the ride on the London Eye our first night in town. It was a beautiful view of the city and the kids really liked the HUGE ferris wheel! It was a great way to get our first view of London.
The kids must not have known that we were back in the English speaking world because they just kept asking for some Gelato! Fortuately we were able to find some! They really enjoyed their Gelato and then we headed back to the hotel and passed out! We put in a lot of walking that first night and I knew there was a lot more walking to come!
