We took the train up to visit some friends in England and spend a couple days with them. We had a great time hanging out with our friends Brad and Janell and the kids had a great time with Chase their son. Our first day there we drove to Cambridge and took a punting ride. It was great to hear a little history and some stories of all the Cambridge Universities. The kids really enjoyed the boat ride and it was a beautiful day! After the punting ride we went to lunch at a place that is frequented by pilots. It was decorated with different patches from squadrons around the world. Chad was able to find the Triple Nickel patch on the wall. Cambridge was a beautiful town and fun to learn about!
Our next day we had most of the morning to hang out before we had to catch our next flight from London to head over to Ireland. We drove to a nearby town, Bury, to check out the local market and have tea. The outdoor market was very similar to what we have here in Italy. The tea however was an experience! It was delicious! After tea we bought some bread and fed the ducks in the park on our way back to our car. That afternoon the kids took a great nap and then we headed to the airport to fly to Kerry, Ireland. Little did we know at that time that we would be back to England before sooner than we thought!
