Fun in the snow!

We are a little behind on our posting, but we have been pretty busy around here lately! We are still getting used to the idea of going to Japan in a year, but we are doing tons of research now and everyone who has been there absolutely loves it! So, we are starting to get more excited about the idea. Of course first we have to make it through a year without Chad, so that is our biggest concern right now!

The kids are doing great! We have had our share of colds and runny noses around here, but I think we are getting over that now. Austin is still really enjoying school and he is very excited because this Thursday they are taking a field trip to the fire station! That should be fun! He really enjoyed Valentine's Day this year and got really good at writing his name because he had to write it on all his cards. Now he can write his name and his ABC's which is quite a big achivement! Madison is doing really well and is now finally sleeping through the night on a consistent basis. Last week we had about six nights in a row where she slept from 9pm to 8am! We are so relieved she has finally reached this milestone. She can pull up on the furniture and even takes a few steps holding on. She will let go occasionally and then fall down after about 15 seconds. We are looking forward to the big birthdays coming up. We will be celebrating Austin's 4th birthday and Madison's 1st birthday together on March 15th when the Fuller's are in town for Chad's graduation.

We spent this last weekend at Ft. Tuthill which is a military camp resort near Flagstaff. There was plenty of snow to play in and Austin had a blast. We went with Chad's squadron and had a little cabin right near the sled run. There had been about a 3ft snowfall the previous week and the snow was just beautiful! We built a couple of snowmen and went sleding for hours. We had a great time! Madison didn't get out there too much because she wasn't quite prepared with a snow wardrobe, but she did enjoy watching her big brother play in it. I am including some pics of us in the snow. We probably need to get used to this kind of environment seeing as Misawa gets over 10ft of snow every year!

We hope everyone is doing well and we will be updating soon with birthday pictures!

Yeah for snow! Something we didn't see too much of the past couple years! Glad you are getting excited about Japan - you will have a great time!
