We arrived in Dublin on Saturday April 17th to find out that we might be extending our trip by a few days because of some Volcanic Ash, but that's a whole different story! The kids were just about DONE with vacation so we decided to take the easy route and take a bus tour the following day. We walked around town a little bit on Saturday night and had some dinner and then we turned in for an early night! On Sunday morning we started out on our bus tour of Dublin. Our main goal was to get to the Guinness Factory Storehouse and try some beer in it's birthplace! We first stopped off St. Stephen's Green to let the kids run around in the park a bit. They enjoyed the gardens which were beautiful!
Our next stop was the two largest chuches in Dublin. St. Patrick's Cathedral and Christ Church Cathedral are both actually Church of Ireland which is strange because most of Ireland in Catholic and therefore aside from tourist these churches are empty! Here are a couple of pictures of these beautiful churches.

The Guinness Tour was next on our list! Chad probably enjoyed the tour the most and he learned how to pour the perfect pint at the Guinness Bar! He also enjoyed many taste along the way!
The famous Guinness lease for 9,000 years!
Chad learning to pour the perfect pint!
That was supposed to conclude our trip in Dublin, but the volcano had other plans. At this point we knew that our trip was going to be extended and were trying to figure out how we were going to get home! We knew that the next day, Monday, we were going to let the kids run free in the Dublin Zoo. They needed one day of pure kids enjoyment if we were going to stay longer! The conclusion of our LONG trip home in the next post.
