In October we went to Longwood to see the giant pumpkins and were surprised to visit a great train display too. Austin loved driving the trains and checking out the pumpkins. The colors were beautiful and since we haven't lived anywhere with changing leaves for quite sometime, we really enjoyed the trees. The kids in front of the pumpkin display.
The fall colors were gorgeous.
At Christmas we visited Longwood to see Santa. The breakfast with Santa was of the best we have ever had. Maddie was still a little unsure about Santa this year, but did enjoy the flowers and the breakfast. They had a beautiful poinsetta and cranberry display inside the garden house. The best part about visiting there was that we could go all through the winter because there was a huge indoor garden and children's area.
Next came spring...we took the kids over to Longwood in their Easter outfits and took some really pretty pictures in front of all the spring flowers. They turned out great and the kids had so much fun. We were surprised to find out that after we got there they were having a kite flying day. So, I ran home and got Austin's new Spider-man kite and he had a great time trying to fly it. Here are a few pics of the kids out in the beautiful spring weather.

We ended our year here with our last trip to Longwood last weekend. We explored all the big treehouses and fed the catfish at the lake. The kids had a wonderful time and it was beautiful weather! We explored the whole garden on our last trip and found even more fun things then we did before. Here are a few pictures from our last trip over there.
