We started the day by driving to where The Last Supper is and parking. While we were waiting for our appointed time to go in we hid out and drank hot chocolate in a cafe! To see The Last Supper you must have an appointment and they only let in 25 people at a time. They are very strict to try and prevent any more damage to the fresco. The painting is done on the wall inside a church. You have to go through two chambers before going into the room where it is. I have to say that this is one of the most impressive things I have seen this far in Italy! It was beautiful and huge! Of course you can't take any pictures while in there, so I just had to get one of Chad by the sign. Guess you will just have to come to Italy one day and see it for yourself!
After The Last Supper we drove over to the downtown area surrounding the Cathedral and parked. We walked around the square where the Cathedral is and then we walked through it. By this time we were freezing again, so we headed inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele for a bite to eat. We found a nice place that didn't mind our crazy children and had the perfect mix of good pastas and pizzas! Always a must when traveling with the kiddos! Here are some pictures of the very impressive Cathedral!
And here is a little picture of Connor enjoying being out of the stroller and freezing temperatures and eating some yummy Italian bread!
