Carnivale is the BIG event here in Italy, kind of like Mardi Gras. They have big parades, throw confetti, and probably get pretty drunk! All the floats we saw had plenty of beer and wine on board! Everyone dresses up in crazy costumes and the kids all wear them too. The kids loved getting a chance to wear their costumes! Austin did a reprise of Batman from Halloween and Madison wore her new princess dress that she got for Christmas (thanks Uncle Sean and Aunt Eva). The really big celebration is in Venice, but there are lots of little parades all over in the little towns near our home. We went to one of the biggest ones that is nearby in Maniago. The kids had a great time watching all the crazy floats and people dancing in the streets. Here are a few pics from our Carnivale adventure!
