We took Austin ice skating for the first time last night and it was quite the experience. The first couple of times around the ice he went with Mommy and Pa-Pa and he didn't do too well. He took a couple of spills and had a couple of meltdowns. Then he had one major wipe-out! That was the end of that, we had to practically had to carry him off the ice. After going inside for some hot chocolate and a pretzel he worked up the nerve to try again! Only this time he didn't want Mommy or Pa-Pa, he wanted Melissa (his step-aunt). So, he went out on the ice with Melissa and Ja
ke who Austin know very well. They had a great time and were able to get Autin around about five or six times! After that he left in a great mood and was very proud of himself for ice skating so well. I was also so proud of him for trying so hard! It was a great time and a great new experience for him!
